Registered as a Non-profit Organization (001-176 NPO) and Registered with SARS as a Public Benefit Organization (PBO No 930009409) Providing specialized 24/7 residential nursing care, palliative and/or holistic support to 320 older, frail persons within a caring setting A secure enclosed environment with 24/7 security, leafy gardens rich with birdsong and established trees effecting residents to enjoy peace of mind and dignity in a loving and caring embrace As the colours of a rainbow, many ethnic, language, and religious segments are represented in Park Care’s resident profile. Residents as young as late 20’s and as old as 101 years of age 24/7 Long-term Nursing Services are provided by Professional Nursing Managers, Nursing Sisters, Staff & Enrolled Nurses & Care Workers to persons with the following conditions & diagnosis: Age-related general frailty Cancer (all stages) Traumatic Brain & Spinal Injuries Parkinson’s Disease (all stages) Multiple Sclerosis Permanent Vegetative States requiring PEG feeding and Trachea Suctioning Dementias like Alzheimer’s Disease Post-Operative Care & Rehabilitation Disorders like Huntington’s & Motor Neuron Disease Post-Stroke Post-Operative Care & Rehabilitation Diabetes, Hypertension, Osteoporosis Depression & Anxiety Disorders Accessible amenities are available on the premises: Hairdressing salon; Tuck shop; 2nd hand clothing store; library, Chapel, Coffee shop, Hall, Sensory room in the Dementia ward, a Rehabilitation section and more. The Daily Active Ageing Program includes: Ward-based Dementia & Frail care activities, Bio-Kinetic exercise classes; Social & Quizz groups, Bingo; Art & Laughter therapy; Movie club; Card games, Djembe drumming classes; Church services; Concerts, Sensory Room and more The Social Work Team consists of a Social Work Manager, a Social Worker, and 4 x Social Auxiliary Workers
