Painting Contractor Pretoria

Painting the inside of a house and painting the outside are not the same trade task. The products differ, the preparation differs, and the scheduling pressures differ. Interior work prioritises a smooth, washable finish that resists scuffs and fingerprints. Walls are sanded, hairline cracks filled with interior-grade filler, and any damp staining sealed with a stain-blocking primer before the topcoat goes on. We work room by room, so the rest of your household keeps running while one section is being painted. Exterior work faces direct UV, wind-driven rain, and the temperature swings that come with Pretoria’s Highveld climate — summer afternoons past 35°C on north-facing walls, winter mornings below 5°C in suburbs like Waterkloof and Silver Lakes. Preparation is more aggressive: pressure washing to remove chalk and dirt, cracks routed out and packed with flexible exterior filler, then a bonding primer before two full coats of UV-resistant acrylic. North- and west-facing walls catch the harshest afternoon sun and often benefit from a third coat.
