About Multiflora Flower Market
With around 600 flower growers on its books and a great florist near me. Multiflora is the largest flower auction house in Africa with a staff of 75. Multiflora works hard to keep up with the frenetic pace of daily auctions and florists. At least 80% of the flowers auctioned at Multiflora are grown within 300km of Johannesburg. The rest come from the Cape, Natal and the northern regions of the country, as well as Kenya, Zimbabwe and other African countries. About 400 florists and wholesalers attend the auctions, which are held Monday to Friday from 7am. The wholesalers then distribute the fresh flowers to almost every city, town and village in South Africa. In some cases the flowers are exported to other countries.
