KATBATT

KATBATT had humble beginnings, starting off by repurposing laptop Litium-Ion battery cells (18650 cells) to create an off-grid battery for a farm house. With a keen focus on quality, over 5000 of these cells were meticulously tested using specialized tools to gauge their capacity and resistance. These cells were then organized into distinct groups and built into a battery that continues to power a farmhouse in the Free State region reliably. Building on this success, we made a strategic shift to specialize in crafting Lithium batteries with the safer LiFePO4 chemistry. These batteries are designed specifically for the local South African market. Our solid engineering background played a pivotal role in this transition. We firmly believe that a product made locally can offer a longer and more dependable service life. Our LiFePO4 battery manufacturing process is guided by an unwavering commitment to detail, ensuring that each battery meets the highest standards of quality.
