Identify causes of stress and techniques to manage it in the workplace. Apply established strategies and procedures to deal with risk behaviour and promote personal wellbeing. Apply knowledge of interpersonal relationships to enhance the effectiveness of counselling process. SKILLS PROGRAMME 2: COUNSELLING Counsel an individual in a structured environment. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of an individual's rights in a specific context. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of ethical and legal aspects relating to counselling. Facilitate group counselling process. Promote health and wellness in a selected context. Screen a client to determine needs. SKILLS PROGRAMME 3: HIV/AIDS AND STIS Conduct a community needs assessment. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of HIV and AIDS, and other Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and Tuberculosis (TB) for counselling purposes. Demonstrate knowledge of dread diseases to effectively manage an infected or affected client.
