Personal Statement by Colin Dovey My Background Personal Dynamics My clients will know that I can be counted on to do what is asked of me. I am driven by a need to finish what I start, even if I regret having started it. I use my practical experience and common sense to develop a plan of action. Doing things in ways that have proved successful before gives me a secure comfort level. I am not willing to let stress get to me. My easy-going disposition permits me to go with the flow, and accommodate change in order to progress. Interpersonal Style A sociable person, I think I can generate considerable personal charm. By paying close attention when someone is speaking to me, I make them feel as if they are the only person in the room, even though there may be a crowd around them. I am an emotionally responsive individual, who acts upon the feeling as it happens without a lot of restraint. Management Style I am able to pull everyone together and try to make them feel they are getting a hearing ear. I am not the type of manager who creates a "winner takes all" environment. I want everyone to come out of the conflict feeling that they have won something. My good instincts provide me with important information about the underlying situation and helps me to make fair judgments. My entrepreneurial spirit is not easily doused. I consider a variety of ways to solve problems and overcome roadblocks. Trusting in my gut instincts, I know in my heart that success truly is just around the corner
