Traditional Thatch

Traditional thatch roofs is thatching roofs and building many challenging timber structures since 1986 We are very proud to say that over this time we have many satisfied clients and have completed many interesting projects. These include many personal homes, game farms and game lodges, restaurants and numerous different designs and ideas of thatch lapas and gazebos. At present we are located in Cape Town as well as in the West Coast. We have also enjoyed building the traditional west coast styled thatch homes with white gables and capping which is so popular in Jacobsbaai and Paternoster. This design has been made famous by traditional fishermen’s homes along the coast. We also specialize in the application of fire retardant to your thatch roof as well as fitting of a fire blanket and semi auto drenching water system to the top of the ridge/ capping. We will also do the following: Maintenance and repairs to all thatch roofs. Engineer’s rational design, drawing of your plans, municipal approval of plans. We will plan and layout your thatch roof with you. Contact Michael Smith today for more info or to discuss your next project. 071 185 8563 [email protected] www.traditionalthatchroofs.co.za
