Swim Dynamics

Swim Dynamics was formed by Dee Barnard and Bev Verweij, two accomplished South African swim teachers, when they recognised the need for swimming instructor courses that would train aspiring swim instructors to teach swimming correctly, and so raise the standards of coaching in South Africa. They facilitate courses in locations across South Africa, making it accessible to everyone who wishes to become swimming instructors, or those who are already instructors, but who hope to improve their teaching skills.

The Swim Dynamics facilitators and trainers have a wealth of experience in the industry and wish to share their knowledge and experience with others in the interests of the sport and the community, enhance the profession, and create opportunities for swim instructors.

Swim Dynamics offers 3 courses. The Babies Course is to train instructors on the specialised act of teaching babies from 6 months to 3 years to swim. Level 1 will enable you to teach children from 3 to 7 years of age and our Level 2 course enables you to teach children between the ages of 8 and 14/15.

Our courses teach you innovative ideas and skills to ensure that the way in which you teach is safe, while still being creative, holistic and effective. To take it further, we also guide you through the process of setting up or improving your own swim school, showing you how your passion for teaching can combine with good business sense to run a successful, rewarding swim school.
