The use of decorative castings in buildings and gardens is an art that has survived for many centuries in Europe. Originally they were used in the embellishment of castles, grand and stately gardens due to the costs of marble and the other materials that were used. Many sculptures have become know worldwide. Examples are sculptures by Michael Angelo and many of the works by Rodin. Today we all still feel the need to beautify our homes and gardens, and fortunately the use of cement has made it possible for most of us to do so.
