Established more than 25 years ago, the family run business has grown from strength to strength. Blue Shirt Bakery (Pty) Ltd started trading under its current name from 2007 after selling a number of its other successful product lines, choosing to focus on the production of Food Wraps & Tortillas for the South African Market. Starting on a small scale when the product was still unknown in South Africa it grew its production from 1 small line in 2007 to 5 small production lines by the end of 2014. In 2015 it commissioned a larger line to further increase its capacity and enable it to continue serving its growing customer base. International best practice benchmarking was done resulting in the commissioning of a brand new, state of the art production line for its Tortilla & Wraps in March 2017. The aim was to replace its older equipment whilst enabling it to drastically improve its quality and production capacity. Later in 2017 it also launched Dessert Waffles as well as a range of Pita’s, Mini Pitas and Tramezzini’s into the market following numerous customer requests. Today we supply all the major Supermarket Groups in South Africa, Top Restaurant Chains, Food service Industry and Independent stores. Our products is enjoyed in all our neighbouring Countries, the Indian Ocean Islands and as far afield as Saudi Arabia. The business is situated at 10 South Main Reef Road; New Era; Springs in a state of the art manufacturing facility run by a dedicated and passionate team of people.
