Allulo Pty Ltd

Allulo Pty Ltd Introduces Certified Organic Allulose – A Revolutionary Sugar Alternative for the South African Market South Africa – Allulo Pty Ltd, a Proudly South African health and wellness company, is pleased to announce the launch of its 100% Certified Organic Allulose, a significant low-calorie sweetener innovation. As the first local brand specialising in Allulose for the South African market, Allulo™ aims to transform the way consumers and the food industry approach sweetness and healthy living. Understanding Allulose: The Natural Sugar Alternative Allulose is a rare sugar found naturally in small quantities in fruits such as figs, kiwis, and raisins. It provides approximately 70% of the sweetness of traditional sucrose with a remarkably similar taste and texture profile. Crucially, Allulose contains zero net carbohydrates because it is not metabolised by the body in the same manner as conventional sugars. Consequently, Allulose possesses a zero glycaemic index, making it an ideal choice for individuals managing blood sugar levels, concerned about insulin resistance, or adhering to ketogenic, low-carbohydrate, gluten-free, or vegan lifestyles. A unique functional property of Allulose is its ability to caramelise like sugar, rendering it perfect for baking, cooking, and sweetening beverages without compromising taste or texture. Furthermore, scientific evidence indicates that Allulose stimulates the release of GLP-1 (Glucagon-Like Peptide-1), a hormone associated with promoting weight management and stabilising blood sugar.
