About Laser Tag South Africa

LaserTag is a safe and painless and clean(paint-free) alternative to paintball and is played as both a team or individual sport.

It is quickly becoming one of the most popular live action role player (LARP) games on the market, and for good reason.
Mobile Laser Tag utilizes some of the technology of traditional indoor laser tag, but incorporates the gameplay of paintball. Players have a laser gun which is equipped with a powerful infrared emitter, scopes for aiming, and sensors for detecting hits. The player does not need to wear any special gear or clothing.
Many folks have played traditional indoor laser tag, which uses a complex system of wearable "armor" to collect data of hits and location. On the other end of the spectrum is paintball which uses no sensors to determine hits, but instead relies on the player actually being hit by a ball of paint which bursts upon impact leaving a mark, and often a nasty bruise or welt (which for many is part of the fun), on the tagged player. Also known as Laser Quest, Laser Games or Paintball Laser Tag
The objective is to score points by "tagging" or "shooting" an opponent. Our rental markers (view equipment) are suited to indoor and outdoor use and come as a complete unit. This makes playing LaserTag THE ideal choice for children's (kids and adults) birthday parties, team building, corporate events, fundraising, reunions, tournaments, social leagues or just plain fun and excitement for all!
Scoring is calculated with points by "tagging" or "shooting" an opponent. To obtain a "hit" a player must simply aim their marker (or gun) at the receiver mounted on top other markers.
Each marker can be assigned a name or code code name if desired. To obtain a "hit" a player must simply aim their marker (or gun) at the receiver mounted on top other markers. Each marker is equipped with a transmitter (the barrel) and a receiver with an LCD screen (the red box) and works like your TV, VCR or DVD player's remote. Each LCD displays critical game information such as available ammunition (ammo), Lives remaining (health) and Tags (kills) you have made and time left. This information is provided during the setup of each game scenario.
Each marker can be assigned a name or code code name if desired.
Simply squeeze the trigger to fire.
To fire: aim the barrel of your marker at an opponents receiver and squeeze the trigger. This sends an IR (Infra Red) beam/signal. Accuracy range is to between 70-100 meters dependent on light conditions.
The receiver (the red box mounted on top of the marker) sounds an alarm (audible Beeping and/or flashing lights) indicating a direct hit. Each LCD will also briefly display specific information relating to that Tag allowing players to see who has tagged them or whom they have tagged.
