With more than a quarter of a century of experience behind us, we have developed a rich tradition of top-rate service – a tradition which shines through from the day you arrives ‘till the moment you leave. We provide a completely different and unique service to you, as our product is the only one of its kind in South Africa. Due to the uniqueness of Lightleys, our houseboats have enormous appeal for both local and foreign tourists. Besides our very well known charter fleet in Knysna, we now have a charter fleet based on the beautiful Kowie River in Port Alfred. NO SKIPPERS LICENCE REQUIRED A full navigational course is done with all our customers and our qualified staff goes through the workings of the boat before you set sail. This procedure takes about 45 minutes to complete. ABOUT OUR BOATS We have fourteen houseboats in Knysna, thus we can sleep a total of 66 people sharing or 33 singles. • Nine Leisure liners’: Sleeps a maximum of 4 in two double beds, but can accommodate 5 people for daytrips. • Five Aqua Chalets’: Sleeps maximum of 6, but can accommodate 8 for a day trip.
